Sharita Criswell, 29, Maryland Makeup Artist Killed During Argument; Boyfriend Charged
Sharita Cristwell, a mother of two children, was a successful makeup artist, but she had a tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend, Harry Lindsay.
According to law enforcement, the couple had an argument at a Landover, Maryland, apartment on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Lindsay allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired it, striking Criswell fatally. She would later die.
The family said that the violence of Lindsay, the father of Cristwell’s two children, was very familiar to them.
Four days earlier, Lindsay reportedly tried to strangle Cristwell, according to her family.
“He said, Ma, I’m sorry and I love you. I love your daughter and I’ll never do it again,” the victim’s mother told local media. Lindsay was arrested, but released quickly and monitored at home. “Four days later, he killed my baby.”
“She did try to get away,” her sister Kim said during court proceedings. “But it was not in time. It was too late. We won’t see her anymore,” she said while sobbing.
Lindsay is charged with first- and second-degree murder and his being held in jail without bail.
