Shanteria Mosley: 26-Year-Old Woman Dismembered in Georgia
Shanteria “KT” Mosley was a 26-year-old mother, daughter, sister, and niece — the kind of person her family remembered for smiles, laughter, and the way she could lift a room. On Wednesday morning, Sept. 23, she left home intending to work DoorDash. By that afternoon, her relatives could no longer reach her.
They tracked her phone to Park Valley Apartments on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna, found her car there, knocked on doors, and searched the grounds themselves. An officer came out, spent about half an hour talking to people, then left after telling the family to file a missing-person report in Atlanta, where she had last been seen. Her family stayed. Her aunt, Michelle Weaver, later said they should never have been searching that complex alone.
What they found was unthinkable. Weaver saw an 18-year-old resident, Kingston Bradley, drop a container and run. Inside was Mosley’s dismembered torso. Relatives said they knew it was her by her tattoos. Police later said they believe she was killed between 10 a.m. and noon that Wednesday.
Additional remains were found Friday in garbage bags in a vehicle trunk. Bradley, already charged with concealing a death, was then charged with malice murder. He is being held without bond. Investigators have not publicly confirmed how she and Bradley knew each other, if they did. DoorDash told police she was not logged into the app at the time in question and had not made a delivery to that complex.
The original WJCL piece led with a container, a torso, and an unnamed woman. The story that matters starts with KT: a young mother whose family went looking for her, recognized her, and is now asking for justice and the rest of the truth. At a Saturday vigil, her mother said she will never be the same. “It feels so cold in my house,” she said. Weaver asked that her niece be remembered for joy — “smiles, laughter, and just full of joy… cheering everybody’s day up.”
The investigation remains open. Official identification through the medical examiner was still pending in some early reports; police have said they believe the remains are Mosley’s. Anyone with information has been asked to contact Smyrna police.
