Lanita Rene Cole, 31, was walking down E. Illinois Avenue in Dallas about 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. That’s when law enforcement says an argument occurred that would turn tragic.
According to this arrest affidavit, Cole approached a couple identified as Jimmie Tarrer and his wife. During the confrontation,, which happened on the couple’s property, Cole accused Tarrer’s wife of calling her the n-word.
The document says Cole “spun her around somehow and she sustained a cut on her left eyebrow. The cut was possibly caused by her eyeglasses.”
