LaTija Luckey: 18-Year-Old Gunned Down In Little Rock
LaTija Luckey lived just 18 years on this Earth before her life was violently struck down, another senseless murder on an American street. This time in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Authorities said that LaTija was one of three people, all 20 and under, who were shot inside a vehicle on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018. A fourth victim, also a teenager, is in critical condition, according to media reports.
LaTara Luckey, LaTija's mother, was unconsolable when talking to reporters. She said that she was being withheld from seeing the body. "My baby. Where is my baby y'all?" she sobbed to local news cameras.
When the local police chief was asked when the mother had yet to view the body, authorities told Fox 16 that the coroner's office was closed over the weekend.
"Can I please see my baby? Please? Please. Oh please! Where is my baby? Oh my God," she said.Police told local media that survivors cannot view the body until after the autopsy si completed. It was likely scheduled for Monday.
She said, "They (police) wouldn't tell me nothing. They (officers) wouldn't let me see my baby."
Also killed in the shooting was Carrington Williams and Kennelle Anderson, 18.

“It is our hope that someone will come forward with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for this senseless act of violence,” City Manager Bruce T. Moore told KATV.
