Nyteisha Lattimore: Ohio Mother Found Stabbed To Death; Son Missing
The body of Nyteisha Lattimore, 29, was found on Saturday, December 12, 2020 near a bridge on the Ohio River in Cincinnati. Authorities are still looking for her 3-year-old son. Her boyfriend has been arrested.
Nyteisha Lattimore was a 29-year-old certified nurse in Cincinnati, was only focused on being a terrific mother to her son.
In one of her last Facebook posts, she wrote: “All I want for Christmas is my son to have a good Christmas and got another job interview tomorrow I hope I get it because I want my son to have a good Christmas it’s about the Kids and I want my son to be happy for Christmas.”
Cincinnati Mother Found Stabbed To Death Near Ohio River
Her body was discovered by law enforcement on Saturday, December 12, 2020, just feet from the Ohio River in the city. Police discovered several stab wounds on her body.
Her 3-year-old son, Nylo Lattimore, remains missing several weeks after authorities discovered his slain mother's body found near a prominent bridge in Cincinnati in early December.
There is hope that authorities can find the toddler, who police, family, friends and community are fervently trying to locate.
"They bring a lot of knowledge and experience. Most of them are retired police officers, EMTs, and firefighters,” North Start International spokesperson Tracy Campbell told local TV station WKRC. "We hope we are successful and that we can help the Lattimore family have closure, but there are no guarantees."
The same day Lattimore’s body was discovered, 20-year-old Desean Brown was taken into custody in connection with the murder.
Brown, who has been identified by authorities as the victim’s boyfriend, is currently being held in jail on a $1 million bond after being indicted on murder and assault charges.
He is also charged with abuse of a corpse. Authorities believe that he allegedly killed Lattimore on December 5 in her apartment and disposed of her body a week later.
Lattimore’s last Facebook post immortalized her love for Brown. She wrote: “I love him forever Desean Brown.”
A neighbor told the Cincinnati Inquirer that Brown had been “kicked off the property several times” for unknown reasons.
At a vigil for Lattimore, the victim’s aunt, Nicole Hunter, says she was a great person.
"She was a firecracker," Hunter told the Inquirer. "Her smile could brighten up a room."
"I hope that justice is served and that the people of Cincinnati should know that Nyteisha was loved by not just her family but many others as well," he said. "We hope that Nylo is returned safely."
