Julia Martin, 27, was fatally stabbed by her ex-boyfriend when he forced his way into her apartment. She was trying to give him back an engagement ring. The boyfriend committed suicide by jumping to his death from her balcony.

A Michigan woman is dead after being shot and killed by her husband in her Macomb County home on October 1, 2016, according to police. The couple's 16-year-old son, who was in the home, is unharmed.

Deasia Washington, 23, was shot and killed at a house party in Kingstown, North Carolina on October 9, 2016. Police have no suspects.

Latasha Rucker, 36, was found in Texas woods in Liberty County in August 2016. A man she was involved with has been charged with murder.

Alisia Dieudonne was a 19 year-old North Carolina college student who was shot dead October 3, 2016 near North Carolina A&T State University.

Timea Batts, 11, was shot dead on the first day of school in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Her father is charged with murder.

Twenty-three-year-old Jackie Dogen, a mother of four young children, was shot and killed September 14, 2016 by her ex-boyfriend, according to Childersburg, Alabama police. The man, who is the father of the kids, is charged with murder.

Deneisha Smith, 27, was apparently strangled to death by her boyfriend, a married father of four, in a bloody fight caught on security camera October 1, 2016 in a New York electronics store.

Thirty-one-year-old LaJoya McCoy of Monrovia, California was found in her car with a rope around her neck on June 15, 2015. Police arrested her ex-boyfriend, the father of her two kids, in the slaying.

Asia McGowan, 20, was shot and killed April 10, 2009 after a stalker cornered her in an empty classroom at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan.

Koi, 6, and Keliegh Green, 4, were slaughtered along with their older siblings, Chadney, Allen, 19, and Kara Allen, 17, in their home September 21, 2016 by the man of the house, Gregory Green, their father. Only the mother of the children, Faith Green, survived.

Stoni Ann Blair, 13, and her brother Stephen Berry, 8, were found dead in the freezer of their Detroit home in March 2015. Their mother, Michelle Blair, 36, was sentenced to life in prison.

Angela McKoy, 47, was shot to death on September 17, 2016 outside a suburban Atlanta home following a fight with her ex-girlfriend's current partner.

Eight-year-old Gabby Hill-Carter was shot in the head on a Camden, New Jersey street on August 24, 2016. An 18-year-old has been arrested.

The badly mutilated body of Lekita Moore, 18, was found in a Cape Town, South Africa field on September 11, 2016. Her neck and stomach had been slashed with a knife. Parts of her nipples and genitals were cut out as well. A suspect is in custody.

Brannae Brown, 15, was on the porch of a home when she was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Kansas City, Kansas on September 2, 2016. 

Nadje Steedley, 18, was fatally struck by a stray bullet on March 12, 2016 in West Philadelphia. Police still have no suspects in the slaying.
