Deneisha Smith, 27, was apparently strangled to death by her boyfriend, a married father of four, in a bloody fight caught on security camera October 1, 2016 in a New York electronics store.

Thirty-one-year-old LaJoya McCoy of Monrovia, California was found in her car with a rope around her neck on June 15, 2015. Police arrested her ex-boyfriend, the father of her two kids, in the slaying.

Asia McGowan, 20, was shot and killed April 10, 2009 after a stalker cornered her in an empty classroom at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan.

Koi, 6, and Keliegh Green, 4, were slaughtered along with their older siblings, Chadney, Allen, 19, and Kara Allen, 17, in their home September 21, 2016 by the man of the house, Gregory Green, their father. Only the mother of the children, Faith Green, survived.

Stoni Ann Blair, 13, and her brother Stephen Berry, 8, were found dead in the freezer of their Detroit home in March 2015. Their mother, Michelle Blair, 36, was sentenced to life in prison.

Eight-year-old Gabby Hill-Carter was shot in the head on a Camden, New Jersey street on August 24, 2016. An 18-year-old has been arrested.

The badly mutilated body of Lekita Moore, 18, was found in a Cape Town, South Africa field on September 11, 2016. Her neck and stomach had been slashed with a knife. Parts of her nipples and genitals were cut out as well. A suspect is in custody.

Brannae Brown, 15, was on the porch of a home when she was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Kansas City, Kansas on September 2, 2016. 

Nadje Steedley, 18, was fatally struck by a stray bullet on March 12, 2016 in West Philadelphia. Police still have no suspects in the slaying.

Cherelle Locklear, 21, committed suicide in November 2015 after her university bumbled the investigation into her campus rape, her mother alleges in a lawsuit, which was filed in September 2016.

Kendra Childs, 19, was shot dead in her Houston apartment from the window on September 13, 2016. Police are still looking for her killers.

Tiarah Poyau, 22, was an aspiring accountant who was attending St. John's University. She had traveled across Europe, including Paris and Spain. She was shot in the face on September 5, 2016 in the early hours of a Caribbean festival in NYC.

Former University of Louisville cheerleader Shanae Moorman, 25, was killed in a car crash on August 6, 2016. The driver "fled the scene" but was later arrested and charged with murder.

Gynna McMillen, 16, was found unresponsive in her juvenile jail cell on January 11, 2016 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. A day earlier jailers had used a martial arts technique on her to restrain her.

India Kager, 28, was shot September 5, 2015 when Virginia Beach officers emptied 30 rounds into the vehicle she was riding in with her 4-month-old son and his father.

Paramedics scramble on Friday, September 2, 2016 after a gunman shot two school girls in Wichita Falls. Police are searching for a white male about age 18 in the attack.

Natasha Hays, 37, was gunned down while she slept in her home in Kansas City. Singer Janella Monae tweeted that Hays was her first cousin. No suspect is known to police at this time.

Javona Glover, a 23-year-old mother of a 2-year-old, was fatally stabbed on her job at Walgreens in Tallahassee on August 31, 2016. Police are looking for a female suspect.

Deborah Pearl, 53, was gunned down Friday on an Ohio street after getting into a car crash with a man. No motive was given in the shooting.
