Victoria Alexander: 38-Year-Old Nurse Shot Dead After Being Ambushed by Estranged Husband
Victoria Alexander, 38, was a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at ExcelCare Rehabilitation Facility in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. She had worked there for approximately six months as a hands-on caregiver in the 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center on Delilah Road.
Alexander was remembered as a beloved mother of two whose death has shocked colleagues and the local community.
A domestic violence incident at the ExcelCare Rehabilitation Facility in Atlantic County turned deadly on Monday, April 13, 2026, when a man shot and killed his estranged wife, a licensed practical nurse at the facility, before turning the gun on himself.
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, 35-year-old Brandon Alexander of Minotola, New Jersey, ambushed his estranged wife, Victoria Alexander, in the facility’s parking lot around 6 a.m. as she arrived for her day shift.
He blocked her vehicle with his car, entered it, and left two suicide notes on the dashboard. A food delivery truck then distracted him by honking, allowing Victoria to escape and run inside the building. Brandon pursued her, shot her multiple times inside the facility, and then shot himself.
Victoria Alexander died at the scene. Brandon Alexander was critically injured and transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his self-inflicted wounds the following day, Tuesday, April 14.
The facility confirmed that Victoria was a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and described the shooting as a domestic confrontation involving someone she had a prior history with. Patients inside reported hearing screams and gunshots. No one else was injured, and authorities stated the incident was isolated with no ongoing threat to the public or facility staff.
