Krystle Landor: Mother Of Three Shot Dead By Ex In Murder-Suicide In Louisiana

Krystle Landor, a 28-year-old mother of three, is dead after being fatally shot by her boyfriend, who took his own life as well on Nov. 6, 2017, Louisiana law enforcement said.

Friends and family are mourning a mother of three who was gunned down over the weekend in St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana. The woman, a 28-year-old, is dead after being fatally shot by her boyfriend, who took his own life as well, local police said.

Police identified the female victim as Krystle Landor of Lacombe. The gunman was identified as John Malveaux, 36, of Slidell, according to local media.  Landor had three children, ages 9, 8 and 5, including one by Malveaux, according to news reports.

Law enforcement officials said that they received a call from Landor telling them that her former boyfriend, whom she had gotten a restraining order on, was following her in a pickup truck about 11 p.m., Nov. 6, 2017.

Malveaux was a passenger in the truck. Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Leslie Davis. Landor said that the truck had trailed her to her home in the 26000 block of East Elm Street.

When Davis pulled up at the home, Malveaux jumped out of the truck, where he met Landor and her brother and his wife. Malveaux pulled out a firearm and struck Landor multiple times, according to the Times Picayune newspaper.

"He stalked her down until he killed her - like a dog," Landor's aunt, Coradena Batiste, told the newspaper. "The law [the restraining order] just failed us," she said.

After the truck sped away, a deputy later spotted it on Highway 190. A brief chase ensued, ending when the truck pulled up at a home in the 500 block of Garrett’s Prime Run in Pearl River. That's when Malveaux ran inside the residence and shot himself, the Sheriff’s Office said, according to WWLTV.
