Manei Glover: 22-Year-Old Pregnant Woman Shot Dead In Trenton
Manei Glover, known to her close friends and family as Nia, didn't always make the best decisions, but she was determined to make a change. Her family said that she was beginning to do just that, until a bullet ended her life Thursday afternoon in Trenton, New Jersey.
"She was turning her life around,"her father, James Wilson Jr. told nj.com, adding that she was living in Philadelphia but coming home often. "She was doing real good."
But good doesn't make you invincible in the streets. The family had pulled up in front of their home in North Hermitage when a car pulled up and gunfire erupted out of the cabin. Glover, her father, plus her father's father were all shot, hit with bullets in different parts of their body.
Glover was hit in the head. She passed away later at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, while where James Wilson Sr., also hospitalized, continues to mend from his wounds.
Law enforcement don't know why someone would target the family, but they believe it could have been an attempt to carjack the minivan. "He just bought it. It's not 10 days old," James Wilson Jr. said of his father's vehicle.
In any event, Glover, who was pregnant with child, is no more and her killers remain on the streets.
